FLAT STANLEY’S VISIT
Flat Stanley arrived April 27, and was so glad to get out of that envelope. He said it was a dark and bumpy ride. He was so glad to be able to see where he was going.
That first week that he stayed here, he went with grandpa to work and got to go for a ride after a truck that was repaired. He thought that it was great that he got to ride in the front seat so he could see everything out the windows. Then he got to ride in a big truck. He doesn’t seem to have much of an appetite though. He did all that traveling and he did not eat a bite when they got back
Later that week he traveled with grandma to a meeting. I made sure he was buckled up.
After the meeting we went to visit Uncle Shawn, Aunt Brandi, and cousins Caleb and Haylee. Even Dixie the little dog was happy to meet Stanley.
One day Shantel came to visit. That sure put a smile on Stanley’s face. Shantel and Stanley went out to the shop with grandpa and watched him work on a motor. They also found the motorcycle parked in the shop and went for an imaginary ride across the country.
Stanley had little chat with Jimmy Bird. I’m sure that they had quite the conversation.
He got to go to the zoo and a car show. He thought that was great. Then Shantel had to go home, and Stanley misses her. But we tried to keep him busy and took him to work with me one day. He was trying to help Susan, but I don’t know that he likes doing all that paper work.
He is getting all folded up to travel back to stay with Shantel. He’s so excited it’s hard to keep him contained. We’ll sure miss him. Good luck to you Stanley. Take care of Flat Stanley Shantel, don’t let him get in a wrinkle. THE END
